CERTIFIED AUTOMOTIVE RECYCLERS REGISTER

In undertaking this recovery program, NADI ADMIN will be establishing a “Certified Automotive Recyclers (CAR) Register” that will be made up of recyclers who wish to gain access to vehicles under conditions stipulated by the OEMs.

The program will operate in three stages:

  • STAGE 1 – A recycler who wishes to participate will be classed as an Interim Certified Automotive Recycler and can receive vehicles during Stage 1 of the program.
  • STAGE 2 – all recyclers will still be eligible to receive vehicles, but priority will be given to businesses who:
    •  • have a hard stand, hoist, refrigerant recovery equipment and liquids storage suitable for properly removing and storing fuel, oils, fluids and refrigerant, and
    •  • who agree to depollute each vehicle in accordance with EPA requirements and accepted industry practice.
